Penetration Depth

Check out the Penetration Depth of the AEL IR 4400

Class 3B laser therapy such as the AEL IR 4400 penetrates 5cm directly into muscle tissue and indirectly up to 10cm.

Determinants of Laser Therapy Penetration

  • Total Power (measured in miliwatts)

The AEL IR 4400 comes with a maximum 450mW in Cluster Head 904nm version.

  • Wavelength (measured in nanometers (nm)

Infrared wavelengths – 904nm have proven to penetrate the most into muscle tissue.

  • Frequency (Continuous Wave (CW) or Pulsing)

The AEL IR 4400 comes with both CW and 7 Pulsed Nogier frequencies.  Please visit the following link to read more about Nogier Frequencies and how they assist with the healing process.

  • Dosage (measured in Joules)

The AEL IR 4400 allows for the inputting of dosages.  The unit then calculates the time taken to deliver the dosage with the inbuilt timer. An audible beep is heard during the countdown.

  • Spot Size

The SCluster Head AEL IR 4400 unit covers sufficient area to deliver the required dosage, fast and effectively.

  • Delivery method

The AEL IR 4400 GaAlAs (Gallium Aluminium Arsenide) diode lasers, not LEDs.

You can read more about Laser Penetration Depths at the following link.  This article is written by the well known laser therapy researcher, Lars Hode.

Do not be fooled by some manufacturers who call their products ‘Laser Therapy’ units and yet they are powered by LEDs. Always check the product Specifications. LED’s have different properties to lasers.

GaAlAs laser therapy units (such as the AEL IR 4400) have proven to be the most effective in delivering laser energy to damaged muscle tissue.
