TENDON INJURIES
Support recovery. Manage inflammation. Get your horse moving again.
Tendon injuries are among the most common problems affecting performance horses. They can result from repetitive loading, overextension, trauma or acute injury.
Common applications
• Superficial digital flexor tendon
• Deep digital flexor tendon
• Tendon strains and inflammation
• Tendon soreness following training
• Rehabilitation following tendon injury
Where to treat
Apply the AEL IR 4400 over the affected tendon and surrounding tissue, following veterinary assessment and an appropriate rehabilitation program.
Why laser therapy?
Photobiomodulation is used as an adjunct to rehabilitation to help manage pain and inflammatory responses and support tissue recovery. Research in horses with tendon and ligament injuries has reported improvements in pain, swelling and lameness, although evidence remains variable.
