Class 3B Laser Therapy

The VetLaser 3000 is a safe and sraightforward product to use, provided some basic protocols are followed during its use.

Being a Class 3B laser therapy unit, with up to 450mW of output power, it is essential that the following be strictly adhered to:


Laser Safety Eyewear

At all times, the operator must be wearing the Laser Safety Eyewear supplied with the unit.  This is to protect the operator from accidental exposure of harmful laser radiation.

Any other people present in the room during treatment should also be wearing laser safety eyewear.

It is important to remember to NEVER point the VetLaser 3000 at the direction of someone’s eyes.

Laserex also sell Doggles to protect dogs from potential exposure to laser radiation.

RF Interlock

As the VetLaser 3000 is a Class 3B Veterinary laser therapy unit, an RF interlock is supplied with the unit.

Thus when used indoors, the RF interlock should be attached to the door frame and door of the room where the animals is being treated.

This is to prevent inadvertent exposure to the laser beam should someone enter the room during treatment.

For outdoor use, the wearing of Laser Safety Eyewear is essential to ensure no harm is done to the eyes due to exposure to the laser beam.

Laser Safety Labels

The VetLaser 3000 comes with all the necessary Laser Safety Caution and Danger Labels in accordance with the appropriate Laser Safety Standards, AS/NZS 2211:1997.  These comply with International Laser Safety Standards.

The VetLaser 3000 has an Accession Number from the FDA, allowing for Marketing of the unit in the United States.
